Do I need experience to start Test Aikido in Toronto?+
No experience is required. Test Martial Arts Club welcomes complete beginners — our introductory classes are designed to start you from zero and build skills progressively. Many of our most dedicated students started with no martial arts background at all.
How many classes per week should I attend?+
We offer 0 scheduled Test Aikido classes per week. Most students start with 2–3 sessions per week to build consistency without burning out. As you progress, many members train 3–5 times per week.
What should I bring to my first Test Aikido class?+
Comfortable athletic clothing is fine for your first trial class — you don't need a uniform yet. Bring water, bare feet on the mat, and a willingness to learn. We'll explain everything when you arrive.
Is Test Aikido safe? What about injuries?+
Safety is our top priority. Test Martial Arts Club instructors emphasize controlled technique over reckless sparring, especially for new students. We require all members to sign a liability waiver, and we pair beginners with experienced partners who understand how to train safely.
