Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience to start Kitsune-Ryu Ju Jitsu in Toronto?+
No experience is required. Test Martial Arts Club welcomes complete beginners — our introductory classes are designed to start you from zero and build skills progressively. Many of our most dedicated students started with no martial arts background at all.
How many classes per week should I attend?+
We offer 4 scheduled Kitsune-Ryu Ju Jitsu classes per week. Most students start with 2–3 sessions per week to build consistency without burning out. As you progress, many members train 3–5 times per week.
How long does it take to earn a belt in Kitsune-Ryu Ju Jitsu?+
Belt progression depends on attendance, skill development, and time at each rank. Test Martial Arts Club has 5 rank levels — dedicated students typically advance every few months at the beginner levels. We never rush promotions; your instructor will let you know when you're ready.
What should I bring to my first Kitsune-Ryu Ju Jitsu class?+
Comfortable athletic clothing is fine for your first trial class — you don't need a uniform yet. Bring water, bare feet on the mat, and a willingness to learn. We'll explain everything when you arrive.
Is Kitsune-Ryu Ju Jitsu safe? What about injuries?+
Safety is our top priority. Test Martial Arts Club instructors emphasize controlled technique over reckless sparring, especially for new students. We require all members to sign a liability waiver, and we pair beginners with experienced partners who understand how to train safely.
How do I sign up for Kitsune-Ryu Ju Jitsu at Test Martial Arts Club?+
The easiest way is to book a free trial class — no commitment required. Click the "Book a Free Trial" button on this page, fill in your details, and we'll confirm a time that works for you.
